Paris in Milan

A private residence of cosmopolitan elegance

A stately, bright and warm home, that conveys the charm of the balance between unassailable design tenets and customisation of spaces.

The bespoke kitchen interacts with the great heights and muted tones chosen for the walls and furniture, while the decorative elements, such as the boiserie and herringbone parquet flooring, define a classic elegance, typical of French architecture: a bit of Paris in an Italian flat, with a recognisable Italian-Milanese flavour in the style of Piero Portaluppi or Gio Ponti of the early period. The suspended furniture contributes to lightening the room, balancing the full-height structure that merges with the walls. The most iconic design elements, such as Vitra’s Akari lamp designed by Isamu Noguchi and made of washi paper, also fill the space with extreme lightness.

The built-in gas hob from ILVE’s Panoramagic range is housed in a long, angular worktop in dark marble, illuminated by slender metal pendant lamps. The professional AISI 304 steel hood not only provides perimeter suction of up to 1000 m3/h to filter and purify the air, but also features LED lighting with a front bar: the cast-iron pan supports and hob knobs are distinctive features of ILVE’s aesthetics that deserve to be in the spotlight at all times. On the opposite side, the 90 cm Panoramagic oven is the absolute star: embedded in the bespoke wall structure, it stands out thanks to the rational elegance of its design, from the electronic TFT touch display to the large knob with integrated LED.

The technology of professional appliances and their ability to integrate with the style of the interiors are key elements in the design of a kitchen: the balance of size, sophistication and functionality is the strong point of this welcoming and elegant environment where space is free, open, contemporary.
