Pasta in the microwave? Yes. An ideal solution, especially if we only need one portion. Perfect when you are home alone, with little time, and you don’t really wish to dirty pots and pans. It takes only 15 minutes.

First put the pasta in a 500 ml jar and then add double the weight of cold water and all the ingredients except for the Parmesan cheese. Mix everything and close the jar after cleaning its edge with kitchen paper.
Set the microwave (or the Ultracombi in microwave mode) to 800 W and insert the jar. If you want to prepare several portions, only one jar at a time must be inserted. After 3 minutes, remove the jar from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes, during which time the pasta will complete the cooking cycle.
Add a generous serving of grated Parmesan cheese, fresh basil and a drizzle of raw extra virgin olive oil. Serve the pasta directly in the jar.
The individual portion of whole wheat pasta with tomato sauce can be stored in the fridge for 7 days.
To best preserve the individual portion of pasta with tomato sauce, select the specific “blast chilling from hot” function and chill at +3°C. This way, bacterial proliferation will be avoided and the flavours will be left unaltered.
